![]() ![]() ![]() We will then walk the three blocks to Linwood Park, a 1 acre “parken” that used to be a parking lot, where we will be welcomed by Chris Leswing of the Friends of Linwood Park, who will tell the story of the park, its plantings, and its people.Įxpect to spend an hour or so on Delmont Avenue and arrive at Linwood Park by 11:30 am. We will be exploring the projects and gardens of the neighbors, some of whom will be on hand to chat with. Be inspired and ask questions about projects that include depaving, rain gardens, garden expansions using native plantings, and downspout planters that capture stormwater to reduce flooding and soil erosion. Delmont Green Street is an ongoing project that with the support of enthusiastic neighbors and generous funding from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation has installed residential-scale green stormwater infrastructure. Join us on a guided walk of Delmont Green Street in Ardmore followed by a walk to and guided plant walk at Linwood Park.
